Cutting of trees is known as deforestation, it had become systematic and extensive during British rule because, Britishers cut trees in large amount for making of railways also for profit purpose.
But it is shocking that didn't allow any Indians to enter the forest and to collect forest resources, they hardly punish the people who tries to enter the forest.... because they thought that if the Indians use this resources then they will not be able to gain access profits.........
