Degree of Polynomial  - Degree of Polynomial is the highest power of variable of its terms when Polynomial is expressed in its Standard Form.  It is sum of exponents of the variables in a term if the polynomial has more than one variable.

Example:

x³y+x²+y  

x³y has degree 4 (3 for x and 1 for y)

x² has degree 2

y has degree 1

So highest degree is 4, thus degree of polynomial is 4.
