Answer:
let x²=a and y²=b
then, x²y²/x²+y² will becomes ab/a+b
now, {(a²+b²+ab)-(a²+b²+ab)+ab}/a+b
={(a+b)²-(a²+b²+ab)}/a+b
=(a+b) - (a²+b²+ab+ab-ab)/a+b
=(a+b) - [{(a+b)²-ab}/a+b]
=(a+b) - (a+b) +ab
=ab which is equal to x²y².
so degree is 2.
