On the basis of canopy density, forests are classified into following types: i. Very Dense Forest (VDF): When the density of forest is more than 70 %, it is known as very dense forest. ii. Moderately Dense Forest (MDF): When the density of forest is between 40 to 70 %, it is known as moderately dense forest.
