What is the density of the football
Answers
Answer:
Mass of the ball is .42 kg. The density of air is 1.2 kg/m3. The coefficient of drag for the football is 0.05 to 0.14.
Explanation:
I carried out an experiment, to find the density of a football. I first measured the diameter of a the ball (using a 1 meter ruler) which is 22cm, then I halved it to get the radius 11cm. My next step was to work out the volume of the ball; because it's in a shape of sphere. I used the formula volume = (4/3) · π · r3. I found the volume of the ball to be 5575.279763cm3. Then I found the mass of a football approximately 420g, after I used the formula density=mass/volume, 420÷5575.279763= 0.08kg/m3 rounding up.
What is density?
Density is a measure of the amount of information on a storage medium.
