The Kola superdeep Borehole is the deepest well on earth is a result of scientific drilling project of Soviet Union in the Pechengsky District on Kola Peninsula. The project attempted to drill as deep as possibe. It began on 24 May 1970 and it measured the deepest well over the earth...and the depth is 12,376 metres (40,604 ft)
