What is the dictionary function of endoplasmic reticulum and smooth endoplasmic reticulum?

Rough ER is called the protein factory  so it is obivious that it'll make protein. About smooth ER it makes the lipids .....

ER is of two types
1 RER - Rough endoplasmic reticulum ribosomes are attached on the outer surface of the ER , hence called as the RER, here PROTEIN synthesis takes place.

2 SER - Smooth endoplasmic reticulum
no ribosomes are attached to ER, hence called as SER, here lipid transportation takes place.
