Write this in exam and get full marks

Dynamo is a dynamo and generator is a generator

Dynamo looks different and generator looks different

We spell dynamo as DYNAMO and generator as GENERATOR

Jokes apart

Dynamos and Generators convert mechanical rotation into electric power.

but Dynamo - a device that makes direct current electric power using electromagnetism.

however the term generator normally refers to an "alternator" which creates alternating current power.

To rotate the dynamo there must be a mechanical energy.we can rotate the dynamo by wind energy, potential energy of water(hydro power) or we can use diesel or petrol engines.

The combination of dynamo and the engine which provides energy for the rotation of dynamo is called a generator.

The generator has an engine(diesel or petrol) and a dynamo which converts the mechanical energy of the engine into electrical energy.

An AC Generator is called Alternator and A DC Generator is called Dynamo.
