Hello!! Here's your answer

Answer:

They both appear similar but are certainly not the same.

Baking powder:

  • Consists of many ingredients including bicarbonates and acid salts.
  • Does not immediately react when exposed to acids.
  • Used in bakery products like bread and cake to make it soft and spongy.
  • Prepared when tartaric acid is added to baking soda.

Baking soda:

  • Has only 1 ingredient - Sodium bicarbonate .
  • Reacts immediately with acids.
  • Used in kitchen to make tasty Crispy pakoras and added for faster cooking.
  • It is a alkaline.
  • We can prepare baking powder by adding tartaric acid to baking soda

Although, baking soda is much more stronger than baking powder.
