✔️The epidermal cells in the plant secrete a waxy substance called cutin which forms a layer of variable thickness called the cuticle within and on the outer surface of the cell walls. This helps to reduce water loss by evaporation from the plant surface as well as helping the plant to prevent the entry of pathogens.

Both are the different words but cutin is the part of cuticle.

A cuticle is a thin film covering the surface of plants and derived from the outer surfaces of epidermal cells.

while,

Cutin is one of two waxy polymers that are the main components of the plant cuticle, which covers all aerial surfaces of plants.

Hope this helps.
