what is the difference b/w Hypocotyl and Epicotyl

the part of a plant embryo directly below the cotyledons, forming a connection with the radicle.(radicle is the premature roots i. e the future root a seed has. Radicle is present downwards so as the hypocotyl )

Epicotyl is present above the cotyledons
