What is the difference b/w rotation and revolution?

rotation means moving circularly on one's own axis and revolution means moving circularly around a Still body .
for example Earth do rotation on its own axis and it revolves around the sun

when an earth turns around and internal axid it is known as rotation.
When an earth circles the sun it is called a revolution.
