Answer:

Torque is produced due to a single force. It is the turning effect of a force.eg we rotate a spanner in clockwise direction to tighten the nut. The turning effect produced is called torque or moment of force.

Couple is produced due to two forces that are equal in magnitude but opposite in direction( unlike parallel forces) and do not have the same line of action.eg a double arm spanner or a steering wheel etc.

Answer:

The turning effect produced by a force on a body is called torque. It is calculated as force multiplied by perpendicular distance. A couple is a special case when there are two equal but opposite forces acting on a body that rotate it.

I hope it will help you
