Getting yourself up and ready for ICSE Board Exams might need more than just a textbook help. School teacher recommended books are the best text books for your year-round preparation.
While on the examination point of view, there are various resources that are available in the market which many ICSE students miss out each year. For my daughter, I had used following resources for her ICSE Board Exams and she scored 95% overall even though she was an average student until class 9.
English Language:
ICSE English Language Last Step Practice Package written by Madhuri Shukla and available on Exam18. Great book to learn the subject, completely optimized for ICSE 10th Board Exams. Right from Grammar to Compositions, Letters, Comprehensions etc., everything is perfectly shown.
English Literature:
Evergreen ICSE Self - Study in English Literature
Prelim Papers of English Literature on Exam18
Mathematics:
ICSE Chapterwise Solved Papers (2015-2000) MATHEMATICS by Arihant Publishers.
History & Civics:
Together with History and Civics
Prelim Papers were also a great help here. Many questions in the papers that we cannot find in textbooks and self-study guides.
Geography:
Class notes from my daughter's school teachers were enough for her.
However, we also bought Super Topographical Maps for ICSE Geography book from Exam18 and it was amazing!
Strongly recommended for Geography - Solved Prelim Papers of some good schools
Biology, Chemistry and Physics:

Concise Phy Textbook-I think this is enough.But so it properly.
CHEMISTRY-
Simplified Chem by Viraf Dalal-This is really good book though the format is not so cool.
BIOLOGY-
Concise Biology-Really good book even the diagrams.
Evergreen Self Help Book-Trust me when i say this,you need to get this book. Really helpful and yes do ALL the exercises given back.
Biology by Anita Prasad-For OBJECTIVE questions.
ENGLISH-
Language:
Total English by Morning Star- Do all the papers given here and yes within the given period or the time in which your board paper will be in.
Literature:
MOV:
Xavier Pinto by Beeta Publications-They have the best explanations. Side by side paraphrases are given and yes even at the back there is word to word explanations. You need this. The understanding part will be done with this but you need practice so for that——-you’ll need a really nice workbook. I’ll update this ans soon cz I don’t remember what publication it was.
Poems and Short Stories: GO for Morning Star they have really good content. For poems they have para wise explanations and for Stories they have Summary which is great. If you just read these workbooks and go for your Pre-board
