TO DETERMINE

The difference between

 \sf{5 \:  {units}^{2} \:  \: and \:  \:  {(5 \: units)}^{2}  }

EVALUATION

Units² is the unit of area

 \sf{ {(5 \: units)}^{2}  }

 \sf{  =  5 \: units \times 5 \: units}

 \sf{  =  25 \: {units}^{2} }

For example if the side of a square is 5 unit then the area of the square is 25 Units²

Thus 5 Units² is value of area on the other hand ( 5 Units)² is the area of the square with side 5 unit
