what is the difference between
a+15 and a(+15)

In case I

It was given a+15

It is just a+15.Let a=1 then the answer would be 16.

In case II

It is a(+15)

Here a may be considered as multiple of (+15),then we can assume that a(+15)=a(0+15)or +15 can be just written as (15). In this case,we can say that a(+15)=a(15)

So it is different.
