A manuscript is text submitted to the publisher or printer in preparation for publication. A book is the final result, after editing and formal publication. Basically, a manuscript can be seen as a 'rough draft.

BOOK: It is sheets of paper bound in a cover usually published through publishers.
MANUSCRIPT: Is an article written by the Author itself. It refers to the original context without publishing it through publishers. It lacks cover also.
