When it's soothing we call it breeze and when harsh it is generally referred as wind.

gale means a very strong wind, more than a breeze, less than a storm.

whereas gale means To sing; charm; enchant.

Wind means air that is moving across the surface of the earth.

I like breeze because it gives soothing effect, but gale can cause damage.
