flask-a container for liquids, in particular

thermos-a vacuum flask.

carafe-an open-topped glass flask used for serving wine or water in a restaurant.

standard storing capacity :

flask-The smallest flasks are around 4 fluid ounces (fl. oz.); holding two to four shots, depending upon your interpretation of the size of a shot. The most common sizes for flasks are either 6 fl. oz. or 8 fl.

thermos-Brimful capacity of the vacuum flask should correspond with its nominal capacity. If the capacity claimed is 500ml, its actual  capacity can be more by 70ml and lesser  by 50ml i.e 450-570ml. The range is 700- 830ml for a 750ml flask and 950-1120ml for  a litre flask.

carafe-A standard bottle of wine is 750mL with a typical carafe being 500mL (1/2 would be 250mL, naturally), although they can vary significantly from country to country (or even by region). Standard glass sizes depend on the country, but here in the UK are typically 175mL for a small glass and 250mL for a large.
