because who knows what will happen in future so marine insurance is a policy for good who carry out in a ship from one to another nation . if by chance ur good sunk(damaged) , so this insurance will help u to give compensation against good for example:- your goods sunk worth ruppees 50000 so u will get maximum 40000. this is called marine insurance policy

on the other side when u have no insurance against marine good ..this is called non marine insurance policy..
