what is the difference between a meteor and meteorite?

Meteor are small rock structure like substance in which very small particles of hydrogen gas present it is not harmful in compare to meteorite it has very large area and ala have very high concentration of rock particles and hydrogen particles in it

A meteoroid is a small rocky or metallic body in outer space. Meteoroids are significantly smaller than asteroids, and range in size from small grains to 1 meter-wide objects. They cannot hold any type of life form in them . They are formed by destructions of asteroid present in the asteroid belt which lies between the orbit of Mars and Jupiter.

Meteorite are the parts of metoroits which enters the Earth's atmosphere by the burning flame . Some of the metoroits gets completely destroyed while the bigger one remains and hits the surface of the Earth which then is known as Metoroits. Example is found in USA
