The difference between natural and artificial satellites is origin: natural satellites were not built by humans.

There need be no other distinction: an artificial satellite could be some bit of rock someone found and decided to put there. Once there, it may not be possible to tell that it is not natural.

However: artificial satellites tent do be very expensive, so it is unlikely someone would just duplicate a natural one. You can tell an artificial satellite by comparing it to the sorts of things that artificial satellite makers can make.

A natural satellite was created by nature, like the moon. The Earth's moon is one example of a natural satellite. Artificial satellites are created by humans, like communications satellites. However artificial satellites are built on Earth and are then taken into orbit by rockets or released by a space station.
