what is the difference between a parallel circuit and a domestic ring main ? pls write a short ans

The only difference to the best of my knowledge is that a domestic ring circuit is simply a simple parallel circuit fed at both ends. This would possibly reduce the Community supported agriculture of the cable required as the current is fed to both ends of the circuit...
