Permutation means arrangement of things. The word arrangement is used, if the order of things is considered.
Combination means selection of things. The word selection is used, when the order of things has no importance.

Difference between Permutation and Combination.

Step-by-step explanation:

Permutation:

Permutation is the way of arranging the given membes of a set into order or proper arrangement,and if the set is already arranged then to rearrange it,is called as Permutation.

Formula for Permutation,

^nP_r = \frac{n!}{(n-r)!}

Combination:

A combination is a selection of all or part of set of object ,it is also almost like Permutation where order of selection does not matter.

Formula for Combination,

^nC_r = \frac{n!}{r!(n-r)!}
