If i talk in layman's terms.
Then a Switch is a device used to turn onn and off the connection of a netwrok or a circuit.
A router is a device which is used to spread the connection in multiple users from one source into many users.
Hub is a big station which takes the primary connection as a main server and distributes it to the other routers to users.
