What is the difference between a step-up transformer and a step-down transformer?


A step-up transformer increases voltage and decreases current. A step-down transformer does the opposite.

A step-up transformer increases current and decreases voltage. A step-down transformer does the opposite.

A step-up transformer increases voltage and current. A step-down transformer does the opposite.
