What is the difference between a strong acid and a weak acid.

strong acid is highly acidic in nature while weak acid is not so acidic and they have a great difference in their pH level

Heya!!

All acids are not alike. The naturally occurring acids that are present in plants and animals are called organic acids. These are weak acids.
Eg. Citric acid, Tartaric acid, Ascorbic acid etc.

Acids such as hydrochloric acid (HCl), sulphuric acid and nitric acid, which are commonly used in laboratories are called mineral acids. They are strong acids. They are so harsh that if they come in contact with the skin, it can burn the skin. They can burn holes in clothes and can even damage wood. The table-tops in chemistry laboratories are therefore given an acid-resistent coating.
