Difference between tap root and a fibrous root are-
Tap root- Tap root is a thick root which grows straight into the ground with many small roots sprouting laterally. The main function of taproot is to absorb water and minerals to the plant. Example carrot and radish are edible taproots.
Fibrous root- A fibrous root system is the opposite of a taproot system. It is usually formed by thin, moderately branching roots growing from the stem. The fibrous root systems look like a mat made out of roots when the tree has reached full maturity.
