While all reporters are journalists, not all journalists are reporters. Yes, all journalism assumes reporting, but "reporter" means something different than "columnist" or "editorial writer." Generally speaking, the job of reporters involves newswriting rather than opiniopn or commentary.

DIFFERERCE BETWEEN TV REPORTER AND JOURNALIST
TV REPORTER- someone who reports news stories via television....anchorman, anchorperson, anchor. A person who coordinates a broadcaste to which several correspondents contribute.
JOURNALIST- a person who writes for newspapers, magazines or news websites or prepares news to be the broadcaste.
