what is the difference between a zoo and whild life sanctuary ?

In the Zoo animals are kept in cages for commercial purposes whereas in wildlife sanctuary animals can freely move here and there and are kept there in order to protect them.

in a zoo animals are kept in cages but in life sanctuary animals are provided their natural environment. the main purpose to keep animals in life sanctuary is to save them.but in zoo animals are only kept for earning money or to entertain.
