acceleration due to gravity is the force by which the earth pulls everything to it's surface
which is roughly 9.8 m/s2
acceleration is the force by which the body starts moving

Acceleration is quantity which tells us at which rate velocity is increasing or decreasing. It acts on body in motion..

Acceleration due to gravity only acts on a free falling body from a height to earth or it resists the velocity when a body from earth is going to certain height.

Its SI unit is meter per second square
