in acidic amino acid the no. of carboxylic acid is more than that of amino group and vice versa

● Acidic Vs Basic amino acids -
- Acidic amino acids have an acidic group in side chain while basic amino acids have some basic group in side chain.
- Acidic amino acids have low pKa while basic amino acids have high pKa.
- Acidic amino acids bear negative charge due to extra carboxyl group while basic amino acids bear positive charge due to extra ammonium group.
- Aspartate, glutamate are acidic while lusine, arginine, ornithine are basic amino acids.
