What is the difference between acquired traits and inherted traits? Explain law of inheritance independently.​

⭕ Acquired traits :- The traits which are acquired by a person during its life time.

• These are not inheritable.
• In simple words, these traits are not transferred from parents to offsprings.
• These traits are acquired by the somatic cells of the body, therefore it has no relation with the sex cells.
• Example :- swimming, a cut, scar etc.

⭕ Inherited traits :- These traits are transmitted from parents to offsprings.

• Example :- Eye colour, hair colour etc.

Laws of inheritance includes :-

• Law of segregation
• Law of dominance
• Law of independent assortment
