⭕ Acquired traits :- The traits which are acquired by a person during its life time.
- These are not inheritable.
- In simple words, these traits are not transferred from parents to offsprings.
- These traits are acquired by the somatic cells of the body, therefore it has no relation with the sex cells.
- Example :- swimming, a cut, scar etc.
⭕ Inherited traits :- These traits are transmitted from parents to offsprings.
- Example :- Eye colour, hair colour etc.
Laws of inheritance includes :-
- Law of segregation
- Law of dominance
- Law of independent assortment
