The difference between active immunity and passive immunity are :-

a) Active immunity :- The capability to resist the diseases and to combat the germs (microbes).the defence elements with in the form of immunity with which an individual is born and which is always available to protect the body is known as natural immunity or active immunity.

b) passive immunity :- the immunity generated in response to the presence of germs or then antibodies, during the life span is known as artificial or passive immunity.
