what is the difference between alchol and aldehyde

1) alcohol sign is 'oh'
whereas aldehyde is denoted as 'cho'

2)Tertiary alcohols don't react with oxidizing agents because they do not have a hydrogen on the carbon atom to which the OH group is attached. Aldehydes can be further oxidized to carboxylic acids. Reduction is the reverse of the oxidation reaction. ... This produces an alcohol.

james32: any other difference?
nishant45: i think now it is complete answer
