What is the difference between an argument and a rebuttal in a debate?

A counterargument is an argument (point/reason/view/evidence) that your opponent would make. Rebuttal: A rebuttal is when you respond directly to your opponent's argument/point to explain/show how/why they are wrong.

argument is a form of speech in that one person is forcing another person to realy on his answer

in debate one person is telling advantages and other person is telling disadvantages
