What is the difference between an element and compound? list five elements which are metals, non-metals and metalloids?

element ___ it is made up of only one kind of atom like hydrogen , oxygen .

compound ___ it is mixture of two or more particle of atom like hydrogen +oxygen= h2o mean water

The difference between Element and Compound is :-

◆Element :-
•The Substance which can not be split up into two or more simple substance by chemical method is called Elements.

•They can not split into two or more simple form because they are made up of only one kind of atoms.

The five Elements which are metals are:-
1)Hydrogen
2) Carbon
3)Nitrogen
4) Phosphorous
5)Sulphur


◆Compound:-
•Compound are the substance made up of two or more Elements which are chemically combined.
•They are combined in fixed proportional by mass.

The metals which are compound are:-
1) Aluminium chloride

◆Metalliod:-
•They are the Elements which show properties of both metals are well as non-metals.

The example of Metalliods are:-
1)Boron
2)Silicon
3)Germanium
4)Antimony
5) Arsenic
