plants are generally rooted in one place and do not move on their own. Most animals have the ability to nice fairly freely. Plants contains chlorophyll. Animals donot contains chlorophyll. Plants can make their food and hence are autotropic in nature .Animals donot prepare their own food and hence are heterotropic in nature.
