What is the difference between anodizing and galvanizing

Anodizing is an electrochemical process that converts the metal surface into a decorative, durable, corrosion-resistant, anodic oxide finish. 
Galvanizing is the process of coating metal surfaces with zinc to prevent them from rusting.

Anodising:= In this process a thick layer of aluminium on metal. During this process , a clean aluminium article is made anode and is electrolysed with dilute sulphuric acid . The oxygen layer on its surface. Also the oxide layer can be dyed easily to give an attractive finish to the aluminium articles.
