What is the difference between Apocarpous and Syncarpous ovary?

The difference are:-

  • The flower has several free ovaries in apocarpous. There is a single ovary in syncarpous
  • Apocarpous ovary is always unilocular. Ayncarpous ovary can be unilocular or multilocular.
  • On maturity apocarpous ovary forms fruitlet of aggregate type.
