The distributive property and associative property are each as follows:

The distributive property: A(B + C) = AB + AC, where A, B, and C are mathematical expressions.

The associative property: (a + b) + c = a + (b + c) or (ab)c = a(bc), where a, b, and c are mathematical expressions.

We see that the distributive property gives a way of multiplying a single mathematical expression by a sum of mathematical expressions, and the associative property illustrates that we get the same result when we add or multiply three mathematical expressions regardless of how we group those expressions. Therefore, the main difference between the distributive property and the associative property is that the distributive property has to do with multiplying by a sum, so it has to do with multiplication and addition, whereas the associative property has to do with adding mathematical expressions or multiplying mathematical expression, so it has to do with strictly multiplication or strictly addition, not both.

Hope it helps you

Hello mate here is your answer.

Associative property

It means that the order of sum or product of two digits doesn't matter. It is used for multiplication and addition both. For example

3+4+1 = 3+4+1

(3+4)+1 = 3+(4+1)

7+1 = 3+5

8 = 8

This is associative property.

Distributive property

It only pretains on multiplication. It also means almost same.

For example

3×4×2 = 3×4×2

(3×4)2 = 3(4×2)

12×2 = 3×8

24 = 24

Hope it will help you
