For example, a coin is tossed 5 times. We have been told to find out probability of getting atleast 3 heads. This means we can have minimum 3 heads and more than that.Probability of at most 3 heads means it can have maximum 3 heads and less than that.

Answer:

For example: Two coins are tossed simultaneously. We have to find the probability of getting (i) atleast 1 head

(ii) atmost 1 head

All of the possible outcomes are: HH, TT, HT, TH

P( getting atleast 1 head) means we can have a minimum of 1 head and above

= HT, TH, HH

probability= 3/4

P( getting atmost 1 head) means we can have a maximum of 1 head and no more than 1 head

= HT, TH, TT

probability= 3/4

Hope it helps!!! :)
