Answer:

Atomicity

atomicity is no of atoms

example in S8. atomicity of sulpher is 8

in P4. atomicity is 8

atomic no

atomic no is prolsed by mosely . misely was tge scientist whichmproposed periodic table by doing his x ray expeiment.

atomic no. is. no of protons in element

it is not equal to no of electrons

in some species like charged species exame

O2-. no of protons same but no of elecrrons dufferent from parent atom . but you know atomic no is not changed so we define atomic no as no of protons becayse protons arw inside the nucleus.

charged on species is defined by deficiency or excess of protons

if no of protons more than electrons then specie is positively charged

Atomicity is defined as the number of atoms present in a molecule. On the basis of atomicity, molecules can be classified as

Monoatomic-consist of only one atom.eg- He,Xe..etc.

Diatomic-consist of 2 atoms.eg-H2

Triatomic- consist of 3 atoms.eg-O3

Tetra-atomic- consist of 4 atoms.eg-P4

Polyatomic-consist of more than 4.eg-CH4 (penta-atomic), S8(octa-atomic)

Atomic number is defined as the number of protons present in the nucleus of an atom.It is denoted by Z.

In a neutral atom Z=no. Of protons=no. Of electrons.
