when the third phosphate is removed from ATP , you get ADP , which stands for adenosine diphosphate . with just 2 phosphates left , the molecule has such less chemical energy , because the high energy bond between the last phosphates has been broken.

Answer:

Explanation:

ATP is adinosine triphospate. During the chemical breakdown of ATP, onePhospate molecule is removed from the bond and is used up as energy for the chemical reaction in the cell. This new form of bond is known as ADP or Adinosine  Diphospate which us later breake down into AMP or Adinosine  Monophospate.
