Autotrophic Nutrition:
(i) This is present in the organisms called autotrophs,
(ii) Organisms are capable of using inorganic materials like CO₂,water in the presence of light energy to synthesize the food,
(iii) These have colouring pigments like chlorophyll in special organelles called Chloroplasts.
Eg: Green plants and some bacteria.
Heterotrophic Nutrition:
(i) This is present in the organisms called heterotrophs,
(ii) Organisms procure food by feeding on other organisms directly or indirectly,
(iii) No need of any colour pigments.
Eg:Fungi.
