Backup refers to the process of making copies of data or data files to use in the event the original data or data files are lost or destroyed
and Restoring is putting the same data copy in same data file

Hey!!
System Restore is automatically done by Windows in the background and keeps a backup record of all the system files and settings on your computer on the local hard drive. System Backup is usually initiated by the end user, you, and usually only backs up your personal files and whatever else you tell it to back it up to and it places it on an external storage device of some kind. (I.E. CD, DVD, External Hard Drive, etc...)
