what is the difference between baking soda and baking powder??

Baking soda chemically known as sodium bicarbonate is basic in nature.. Due to presence of alkaline in it. Where as baking powder is formed by baking soda and some dry acid... And due to this dry acid it loses its Basicity. And act as a week base compare to baking soda Conclusion NaHCO3 +dry acid =baking powder
