In a balanced equation the mass of all the atoms in the reactants side is same to that of the product side. Therefore the no. of atoms of the elements on both the side are equal

But in a skeletal equation the masses and the no. of atoms of each element are different . So it doesn't follow the conservation of mass theory by Dalton
