Hey there,
What is fermentation?
The process in which certain enzymes are involved to convert carbohydrate into alcohol or organic compounds.
Batch fermentation -
1) They have closed type cultivation system.
2) Here the volume always remains constant.
3) This results in the cessation of cell multiplication.
Fed-Batch fermentation -
1) They have semi-closed type cultivation system.
2) Here the volume increases.
3) This results in rapidly increase in the biomass.
Thanks :)
