,❤️In general, Bayes' rule is used to "flip" a conditional probability, while the law of total probability is used when you don't know the probability of an event, but you know its occurrence under several disjoint scenarios and the probability of each scenario.❤️

Answer:
Bayes's theorem is two applications of conditional probability, and in one form, the law of total probability. Bayes didn't know about (or, at least, didn't use) 'his' theorem. Instead he argued directly from conditional probability. But conditional probability is different from the law of total probability.
